Longhair and Shorthair kittens

It does not happen very often, when two shorthair brits have longhair babies, but we are happy to report we've got a few of those fur balls from Benjamin and Betty.

Extremely rare in Canada British Longhair is officially recognized as a bred on its own by majority of cat registries around the world, in actuality is just a fluffier version of ever popular British Shorthair cat.

On the picture, left to right there are 2 longhair kittens, then shorthair following by another longhair, all are litter-mates born to two shorthair parents carrying longhair gene.

Betty is expecting
October 4 2010 11:40 am

We are excited to announce that Betty is expecting and due to have her first litter of kittens at the end of October.

On the picture Betty is enjoying a warm fall afternoon on the balcony. Notice the big round belly and this bright yellow "Attention" sticker right next to it? What did you expect, she is already protecting her kittens and making sure everyone around her is aware and knows they have to be careful. On a serious note though, look how beautiful she is!
